ABOUT US

Children of the Redeemer Academy (COTRA) was founded in 2022 by the owners Remmy & Bhongie Mukosa with a vision to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for learners.

The School started with only Grade 8 and Grade 10 classes.  The School was established with the goal of providing excellent education globally.

The School began with only 10 learners and 10 teachers.  Over the years we have grown and expanded to become a thriving community of more than  344 learners and 37 teachers. Additionally, there are a number of General workers and Support staff who are key in the School’s developmental agenda.

Milestones from inception to date:

  • Expansion of Dining Hall
  • School Library (Work in progress)
  • Grades 7,9 and 12 approved Examination Centers 
  • Canteen, Salon and Barber shop services.
  • Construction of Staff houses
  • Multi-purpose Sports grounds
  • AgriCotra farming services
  • Swimming pool facility
  • Construction of new Boys Hostels
  • Construction of new Girls Hostels
  • Introduction of Parent Teachers Association (PTA)
  • School Bus services for Day Scholars 

Today,  COTRA is a vibrant and diverse community that continues to evolve and improve.

We remain committed to our founding principles while embracing innovation and progress.

Special curriculum interest subjects include French Lessons, Computer Studies and Agriculture Science. 

COTRA has registered Examination Centers for Grades 7, 9 and 12 National Examinations.
